Clients usually engage Sim Movers to declutter their homes and offices, as well as to manage inventory. Items that our clients store include:

• Boxes containing personal items
• Suitcases
• Sporting equipment (skis, surfboards, scuba gear, gym equipment)
• Holiday decor
• Musical instruments (guitars, pianos, drum sets etc.)
• Baby strollers, cots
• Tower and box fans
• Appliances (microwaves, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers etc.)
• Computer accessories
• Small furnishings (chairs, rolled rugs, side tables, consoles etc.)
• Furniture (sofas, dining sets, beds, cabinets etc.)
• Golf clubs
• Pet carriers
• Camping gear
• Documents
• Kitchen equipment
• Safes

You may store anything except hazardous and illegal items. Things you cannot bring with you on a plane probably cannot be stored with us.

For the safety, health and well-being of our staff, facilities, and stored belongings of other clients, you are prohibited from storing certain types of items.

A simple guideline to follow: If you cannot bring it on an airplane, or if it’s considered illegal by the laws of the country, it is most likely that we cannot accept it.

Prohibited items include:

• Food or other perishables
• Prohibited Drugs
• Living flora and/or fauna
• Particularly fragrant/pungent items, including items that have had extensive exposure to cigarette smoke
• Flammables
• Explosives
• Firearms and/or Ammunition
• Compressed gases
• Poisonous materials
• Biohazard materials
• Medical waste
• Hazmat items
• Regulated prescription drugs
• Illegal materials/substances
• Liquids, gels or aerosols – including wine and alcohol
• Any items requiring regulated temperature control (such would have to be stored without liability on our part, should you wish to store it anyway)

Please keep in mind that private boxes are subject to these restrictions: If a closed or sealed box is suspected to contain prohibited items, it may be opened at the discretion of Sim Movers and will be returned to you or disposed of (if required by law) at your expense, or refused at the point of pick up.

Sim Movers does provide medium-sized boxes at a nominal fee, and upon request only. We offer complimentary boxes and packing materials for moves require at least two trips.

All items stored in our warehouse are covered by fire and theft insurance. If you require additional insurance coverage, please inform us and we’ll help you with the arrangements. We do not recommend that you store highly valuable items with us. If you would still like to proceed, please inform us in advance.

Our storage works on a shared unit system. You will be charged according to the space your items take up.

We offer flexible storage periods starting from one month.

Clients do not have self-access to their stored items. Should you want to retrieve your items, please let us know in advance and we can arrange for you to access them.
